Top Rank’s promoter Bob Arum said he’s close to finalizing the highly anticipated unification fight between the WBO featherweight world champion Shakur Stevenson (13-0) and IBF ruler Josh Warrington (30-0).
The bout is about to take place in Leeds, England on May 16.

Before that, the 22-year-old Stevenson is eager to have a tune-up fight with Miguel Marriaga on March 14 at MSG in New York, according to ESPN.
“There’s no reason he can’t fight in March and then again in May in the U.K. or maybe in June against Warrington,” Arum said to ESPN.com about Stevenson.
Warrington, 29, captured the IBF belt in 2018 and he defended it three times since then.
