Bellator women’s featherweight champion Julia Budd (13-2) will be making her fourth title defense early next year against former UFC women’s featherweight queen Cris Cyborg (21-2).
The announcement was made official this past weekend at the Bellator 228 event. The bout between the two hard-hitting ladies will be a debut in Bellator for the 34-year-old Brazilian and it will take place on January 25 in California, US.

“The Jewel” captured the belt in 2017 and since then has beaten three challengers. Justino, on the other hand, lost her UFC title last year when Amanda Nunes KO’d her in the very first round.
Cyborg made one more appearance under the UFC banner in July, but an ongoing beef with Dana White made her change stables.
