Khabib’s father: We’re hoping for an agreement

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s father – Abdulmanap, spoke about the UFC 229 post-fight brawl where his son jumped out of the cage just seconds after he beat Conor McGregor. The Nevada State Athletic Somission was supposed to declare the punishment of The Eagle this monday, however, the Comission re-scheduled their meeting to 29th of January.

“I do not know what is going to happen”, said Nurmagomedov sr. according to the brtish media “The Express”. However, the dagestan confessed he is hoping to reach an agreement.

“As far as I know, we are going to get fined 50 000 dollars and lose our license to fight in the next nine months”, Abdulmanap added.

According to multiple sources Khabib’s sanction will be with a start date back in October due to the fact that the Comission made the file against him right after the melee at UFC 229 . This would mean that Khabib will step into the Octagon no sooner than 6th of July.

“Of course, we are hoping for the best and we should not let this happen”, was Abdulmanap’s final statement.
