KWU International Professional League camp Day 2: It’s all about the endurance

A lot of positivism and red faces marked the second training session of the second day of the ongoing KWU International Professional League training camp that is taking place at “Senshi Gym” in Varna, Bulgaria.

The participants in the camp once again showed determination, giving everything their got and demonstrating elite skills. As usual, the athletes were divided into four groups – one for each instructor.

The former four-time K-1 heavyweight champion Semmy Schilt was once again showcasing interesting games and activities to the instructors and coaches around him. “Hightower” put emphasis on the importance of working together and thinking outside the box. The coaches had to build paper towers, as they were separated into groups of two or three.

The former three-time K-1 heavyweight champion Peter Aerts and the former-four time K-1 heavyweight king Ernsto Hoost were leading the group of pro fighters. “The Dutch Lumberjack” was assisted by his daughter Montana Aerts, as the young and uprising fighter was helping her dad in the demonstrations of various techniques and combos. Arts was showcasing multiple ways of finishing the opponent and the feints.

“Don’t fight hard, fight smart. You should always be thinking one step ahead”, Aerts said to the fighters.

“Mr.Perfect” reminded everyone why he’s regarded as one of the baddest people to ever lace ’em up. Ernesto Hoost was teaching the importance of proper counterattacks from unorthodox positions. He demonstrated a lot of power combos, but he reminded everybody to “do it right, forget about the power”.

Former K-1 MAX and SUPERKOMBAT champion Alber Kraus was guiding the group with the young participants. “The Hurricane” was actively being assisted by Bulgaria’s Vladimir “The Pitbull” Valev who was training hard alongside Kraus and the young bloods around him. Kraus pushed the tempo to the max, as he was non stop increasing and decreasing the pace of the session.
