WBA “Super” and WBO lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko (13-1-0) defeated the Brit Anthony Crolla (34-7-3) via 4th round KO in what turned out to be another brilliant showcase of Loma’s skillset inside the ropes.
The bout was the main event of Saturday night on Top Rank Boxing on ESPN+ at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Right from the get going Loma established himself as the dominant side and took control of the actions. The 31-year-old worked him over with power shots and knocked Crolla down in the 3rd round. The former WBA champ was trying hard to catch his breath and to land some shots, but Loma’s defence and movements were once again on another level.
Watching Lomachenko box is like getting hit in the face with a 10 pound back of smack. What a rush! #LomachenkovsCrolla pic.twitter.com/SL9enBofIl

Then the 4th round came and with less than a minute gone, “Hi-Tech” dropped Crolla with a massive right hand and the referee Jack Reiss waived the count.

The only positive for Crolla that came from the fight was he didn’t have to take punishment for long the way some of Lomachenko’s adversaries do.
