Martin Bravo – Steven Peterson set for September

Martin Bravo and Steven Peterson will compete in a featherweight bout between in September’s UFC on “ESPN+ 17” lineup.

The matchup between Bravo (11-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) and Peterson (MMA, 1-3 UFC) is verified with two people close to the situation following an initial report from Milenio.com. The people requested anonymity because UFC has yet to make an official announcement.

“UFC on ESPN+ 17” takes place on Sept. 21 at Arena Ciudad de Mexico in Mexico City.

Bravo will return to action for the first time since July 2018. After starting his career with 11 consecutive wins, “Toro” has dropped back-to-back fights and hasn’t had his hand raised since November 2016.

He will attempt to get back on track against Peterson who is also on a two-fight skid. “Ocho” has just two victories in his past six fights overall and is more than a year removed from his lone UFC triumph, which took place at The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale in July 2018.
