Maximilian Heider won third consecutive German title

At the second day of the German Championships in Stuttgart Maximilian Heider won his third consecutive national title.

In the final, he outclassed Alessio Murrone from Sport-Union Annen with oseikomi. In the class up to 66kg, defending champion Manuel Scheibel from TSV Abensberg was not at the start. The 20-year-old Severin Edmeier from TSV Großhadern won the final against David Ickes from Budokan Lübeck, reports Judo Inside.

In an exciting club-internal final in the class up to 100kg, Dario Kurbjeweit Garcia from TSV Großhadern won against his club-mate Kilian Kappelmeier, who was still in the lead until shortly before the end of regular fighting time. The 17-year-old Kilian Kappelmeier is still the reigning German champion in the U18 and the youngest medal winner of this weekend.

Defending champion Erik Abramov from UJKC Potsdam did not start in the over 100kg class. Daniel Zorn from BC Randori Berlin, who had already been third in the championship in 2019, won gold here. In the final, the Berliner defeated the German junior champion Yvo Witassek from the UJKC Potsdam.

In the women class U48kg, Nikita Krieger from PSV Herford was ahead in the final against Sarah Ischt from VfL Wolfsburg with a Wazari rating until shortly before the end of the fight. Annika Würfel from VfK Bau Rostock won her second DM title in the class up to 52kg after 2020. In the final, she prevailed against Julia Mollet from DJK Eppelheim with a Wazari in extra time.

In the class U78kg, Teresa Zenker from SV Halle won with a grab handle against Lea Schmid from the Heubach judo center. Defending champion Greta Bolte from the Judo Crocodiles Osnabrück secured bronze.

Renée Lucht from HT16 Hamburg did her fights in a fast run and won the final of the class +78kg after 26 seconds with choking technique against Maxime Brausewetter from JC Leipzig. After 2020 it was also the second title for Lucht.
