Megan Anderson to fight Norma Dumont at UFC Norfolk

Megan Anderson will look for the first win streak of her UFC career early next year.

MMA Fighting confirmed with sources that Anderson (10-4) and Octagon newcomer Norma Dumont (4-0) will meet in a featherweight bout at UFC Norfolk on Feb. 29.

The announcement was first made on Anderson’s official site.

Anderson won her most recent bout, submitting Zarah Fairn dos Santos via first-round triangle choke at UFC 243 in October. The former Invicta FC champion is 2-2 in the UFC, with wins over Dos Santos and Cat Zingano, and losses to Felicia Spencer and Holly Holm.

Dumont, 27, hails from Belo Horizonte, Brazil, and has competed for the Shooto Brasil and Jungle Fight promotions. She last fought in March 2018, defeating Mariana Morais by majority decision. In four fights, she has picked up two first-round rear-naked choke submission victories.

This will be Dumont’s first pro bout at 145 pounds.

UFC Norfolk takes place at Chartway Arena in Norfolk, Va. The main card will air live on the ESPN+ streaming service.
