Former unified world cruiserweight champion Murat Gassiev (26-1) will be stepping to the big boys division next month.
The 25-years-old will be squaring up against Joey Dawejko (19-7-4) on June 27 at College Park Center in Arlington, US. Gassiev joined DAZN earlier this year after it became clear the former champion wanted to move up in the heavyweight division.

Dawejko, 29, has gained huge popularity in the past 10 days. The American was part of Anthony Joshua’s training camp for the Andy Ruiz fight and some days after “AJ” lost in a shocking manner, some American and British media outlets reported that Dawejko knocked out the former champ in one of the sparring sessions and that was one of the main reasons the Brit was outgunned in his last bout.
Gassiev’s last fight was a one-sided loss to Oleksandr Usyk (16-0) who is also anticipating his heavyweight debut fight against Carlos Takam later this year.
