New karate Hall of Fame commision met in Madrid

The newly created Hall of Fame Commission met this past week in Madrid to discuss the foundational principles of the commission and to plan its future event strategy. 

Chaired by former World champion and Karate legend Davide Benetello, the Hall of Fame Commission gathered at the headquarters of the WKF in Madrid as Karate’s international governing body continues taking steps to further increase the popularity of the sport. The commission is formed by chairman Davide Benetello and members Davor Cipek, Francisco Alegrete, and Michael Dinsdale. The meeting was headed by WKF President Antonio Espinós.

After the meeting, WKF President Antonio Espinós said: “Karate is not only one of the most captivating sports; it is also a discipline with a rich and profound history. We continue reaching new milestones and looking ahead to our bright future, but we never forget the memorable past moments that are the base of our success.”
