Old video of Dillian Whyte involved in Muay Thai fight emerges

Before becoming an established heavyweight boxer, Dillian Whyte ventured into two other combative realms including a successful stint in kickboxing.

He was a professional kickboxer, becoming a two-time British heavyweight kickboxing champion – so certainly no slouch.

And on Friday night old footage of Whyte competing a Muay-Thai fight emerged on Twitter.

As you can see in the video below, Whyte held nothing back in the brutal scrap against Will Riva.

In Muay Thai, punches, kicks, knees and elbows can all be thrown and it turns out Whyte is pretty devastating when attacking with any part of his limbs.

The fight eventually came to a close when Whyte landed a big knee clean to Riva’s face which sent him flying backwards.

Of course, these days Whyte is better known for the damage he can cause using just his fists.

He made his professional boxing debut in 2011, and has since compiled an impressive 25-1 record, with that one defeat coming to world champion Anthony Joshua.

And after knocking out Dereck Chisora just before Christmas he’s now got his heart set on a rematch with Joshua.
