It’s not a secret for anybody that two of the biggest boxing promoters in the world right now aren’t seeing eye to eye on almost everything.
Golden Boys Promotions’s founder Oscar de la Hoya and Matchroom Boxing’s managing director Eddie Hearn are on fire again and the reason is their biggest stars – Saul Alvarez and Anthony Joshua.
Hearn is promoting WBO middleweight champion Demetrius Andrade and WBA “Super” world super-middleweight king Callum Smith. The English promoter is putting the pressure on Oscar and Canelo to fight one of his top guys, but it seems that the Mexicans aren’t in rush to do that.
The former boxing champion took it to social media addressing his Brit rival:

“Eddie Hearn, let me worry about Canelo and his next opponent, which doesn’t involve you. You worry about securing the rematch for Joshua with Ruiz for DAZN – which I hear you are having problems with,” De La Hoya stated.
Hearn hit back right away, proposing a friendly bet.
“Friendly bet..my fight gets made before yours,” Hearn stated.
We remind you that both promoters are working tight with DAZNand the two previous boxers Canelo faced were Eddie Hern guys.
