Oscar Rivas wants his umblemished record back

Colombia’s top heavyweight Oscar Rivas (26-1) commented on the reports that his last adversary Dillian White has tested positive for a banned substance just days prior to their fight on July 20 in London.

Earlier today www.boxingscene.com came out with the information that the 31-year-old Brit got caught with PED on July 17, three days before his clash with Rivas. British promoter Eddie Hearn admitted that both fighters were tested multiple times by VADA and UKAD, but BBBofC let the fight go on.

Now the only thing remaining to see is what the “B” sample will turn out. If it’s positive, Whyte’s license might get taken away. Still, Rivas believes that if there is something shady, his undefeated record should be restored.

“The only thing to do is wait for what the International Commission of Boxing say because these are things that are really very anti-sporting,” he told journalist Alexis Rodríguez.

“I think yes, if they want we will try and fight for the same title. Thanks to God I’ll continue unbeaten. The truth is this defeat caused me a bit of distress but the support of the people pushes me on, we have to go forward.”

Dillian Whyte has yet to comment on the reports.
