A super exciting matchup between two of the finest featherweights in UFC is now set.
The current champion Alexander Volkanovski will be making his second title defense. This time the Australian will be fighting the #2 ranked featherweight, Brian Ortega.
The bout will take place at UFC 260 which is scheduled at a location and venue still to be announced on March 27.
The news was first reported by ESPN, which also reported the promotion is aiming for Volkanovksi (22-1 MMA, 9-0 UFC) vs. Ortega (15-1 MMA, 7-1 UFC) to be the co-main event to a UFC heavyweight title rematch between Stipe Miocic and Francis Ngannou.
Volkanovski, 32, is riding a 19-fight winning streak, as he is unbeaten in his UFC career. Ortega, 29, got back to his winning days this last October when he defeated Chan Sung Jung via UD.
