Ruben Garcia with a successful debut in the ring of SENSHI

Bout number seven of the fight card of SENSHI 10 was a close one! The crowd in Varna enjoyed the great performance of Ruben Garcia and Andrey Chekhonin who squared off in a -85 kg. bout under the KWU Full Contact rules. The Spanish fighter made his debut in the ring of SENSHI a successful one and will definitely be remembered.

The Russian started off the fight with his trademark low kicks, but Garcia managed to find his distance and disrupt the rhythm of Chekhonin.

The second part started with a close distance exchange in which the Russian showed he can use his boxing too landing a couple of nice hooks. Garcia used more counter-attacks and managed to find his distance again to use the advantage of his height and length.

The third round was entirely under the control of the Spanish fighter who showed more aggression and landed more accurate shots in it. They both gave their all in this round, so when they realized they have to go to an extra round, it was a bit shocking for both of them. In the fourth part Ruben was more energetic and his better cardio got the best of his opponent.

In the end, the split decision was in favour of Ruben Garcia.
