Sambo World Cup in Moscow to be held without fans

The upcoming Sambo World Cup “A. Kharalampiev Memorial” will take place in December in Moscow, Russia.

Unfortunately, the event that is set to be held on December 18 and 19 will go on without spectators due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Initially, the competition had to take place in March but got postponed due to the global health crisis.

Around 300 athletes from 15 countries are expected to compete in the World Cup, also referred to as the A Kharlampiev Memorial World Cup in honor of Anatoly A. Kharlampiev, one of sambo’s founding fathers.
