The official weigh-in for the highly anticipated bout between WBC and WBA “Super” middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (51-1-2) and IBF middleweight king Daniel Jacobs (35-2) is now in the books, as both fighters managed to make weight for the fight this evening.
Three titles will be on the line tonight as the two will be squaring up in Las Vegas. The “Miracle Man” weighted in right at the middleweight limit at 72.6 kg, and looked lean, muscular and in great shape. His Mexican opponent, on the other hand, looked like he’ll be participating in a lightweight fight, tipping the scale at 72.3 kg, as there was a totally different person than the one who faced GGG and Rocky Fielding last year.
There will be a secondary weigh-in Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. that both fighters will need to attend. The weight limit for this weigh-in is 170 lbs. If either fighter comes in over the limit, then they’ll need to pay $100,000 per pound.
