Snickers had sent Ruiz some treats

Andy Ruiz Jr. (33-1) is the new world heavyweight champion, but the 4 titles he got aren’t the only thing that’s coming his way.  The 29-years-old has one of the most bizarre physics a pro boxer can have, but that didn’t stop him come Saturday night to dethrone Anthony Joshua.

A lot of people were laughing at Ruiz prior to the fight saying that he’s way too fat to do anything, but “Destroyer” proved us all wrong. While “AJ” was in training camp in Miami, Ruiz was also training, but between sessions, he was chugging some Snickers bars. In fact, speaking ahead of the fight, Ruiz revealed that he is such a fan of the chocolatey treat that he is hoping to become the face of the brand.

“I have my Snickers right here with me,” he said. “We are working on an endorsement deal, we are really close to getting this contract done.”

“To tell you the truth since I was six years old my dad would always give me this Snickers before every fight and it gives me energy. It gives me everything that I need to do the win. For sure I will be eating this when I fight Anthony Joshua.”

And so he did. Yesterday the champ was a guest on PBC show and the Mexican-American pulled out his favorite candy bar out of his jacket.

“I have my Snickers right here with me. We are working on an endorsement deal, we are really close to getting this contract done.
