Spanish Judo Federation initiate programme to keep young judokas active

The Spanish Judo Federation has launched an active programme for youngsters coping with the COVID-19 pandemic, after recent reports suggested an increase in weight of children who are in confinement.

The initiative’s name is ‘Do Judo Again’ and its goal is to get children back to training as soon as possible.

The coronavirus lockdown has canceled all kinds of training and events and an independent study among Spanish kids has estimated an average weight increase of five per cent in youngsters.

Spain has been one of the worst affected nations in the world during the crisis, leading to heavy social restrictions.
