Tyson Fury has recruited Jarrell Miller as a new sparring partner to help him prepare for his fight with Dillian Whyte on April 23.
The American heavyweight is on his way back to the ring. “The Big Bay” was supposed to fight Anthony Joshua back in 2019, but few week prior to the fight he tested positive for PEDs and his boxing license got stripped.
His place was taken by Andy Ruiz Jr. and the rest is history, as they say.
Miller had to come back in 2020, as he even signed with Bob Arum’s Top Rank, but then the American tested positive for banned substances once again.
This time Miller was sincerely punished as the Nevada Commission did licence him and therefore handed him a two-year ban from the sport. Now, almost two years on, his ban is nearly up and due to end on June 16.
The recruitment of Miller is not a bad move by Tyson Fury and SugarHill, with the American being the same size and built as Dillian Whyte, plus they have a similar style of fighting.
