UFC: Oezdemir, Macedo, Luque and Perry each came away with $50 000

Volkan Oezdemir, Veronica Macedo, Vicente Luque and Mike Perry each came away with $50 000 bonuses following “UFC on ESPN+ 14” event in Montevideo, Uruguay.

Oezdemir and Macedo each were awarded “Performance of the Night,” while Luque vs. Perry earned “Fight of the Night” honors.

Oezdemir (16-4 MMA, 4-3 UFC) found himself in a must-win situation, carrying a three-fight losing streak into his clash with fellow light heavyweight contender Ilir Latifi. “No Time” responded in fine fashion.

In the night’s very first fight, Macedo (6-3-1 MMA, 1-3 UFC) was expected to be in trouble if her matchup with world-champion grappler Polyana Viana (10-4 MMA, 1-3 UFC). Macedo set up a beautiful armbar, earning the fastest submission in women’s flyweight history.

On paper, the fight between Luque (17-6-1 MMA, 10-2 UFC) and Perry (13-5 MMA, 7-5 UFC) landed big shots along the way, though it was Luque who absolutely obliterated Perry’s nose late in the third frame.
