UFC Hall of Famer Urijah Faber announced earlier this week that he’ll be coming out of retirement to make a comeback in UFC.
“The California Kid” retired from the mixed martial arts in 2016 when he defeated Brad Pickett in his home town of Sacramento. Now, almost three years later the 40-years-old American will be making his return to the cage at UFC Fight Night 155 on July 13 which will be held in Sacramento.

This will be Ricky Simon’s (15-1) third fight in UFC since he came to the organization last year. He is yet to lose a fight, as he defeated Merab Dvalishvili in his debut, then he beat Montel Jackson and most recently Rani Yahya.
“I was gonna fight Kron Gracie and Kron said no, as the main event at 145,” Faber told Dan Hardy.
“Then I was pitching Cub Swanson. Matchmaker Sean Shelby said no because he is on a four-fight losing streak and didn’t do anything for the division.
“Then they said Ricky Simon wants it. So I said alright. There’s so many guys out in the division. I took some time off, started a family, which is one of the reasons why I stopped. I felt like I needed to slow down in order to progress.”
