UFC President Dana White revealed that the winner in this night UFC 236 main event will be getting a title shot against the current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov (27-0).
Max Holloway (20-3) and Dustin Poirier (24-5) will face each other tonight for the interim lightweight belt and the stakes in the rematch between the two just got extremely higher.

“Blessed” is the current featherweight champion of UFC and he hasn’t lost a fight in the last 6 years (Conor McGregor, 2013). Poirier, on the other hand, is #3 in the official UFC lightweight rankings and if the 30-year-old American manages to get the W tonight, he’ll land his first ever title shot in UFC.
White also said he hopes Khabib’s next title defence will take place in September when his 9 months NSAC suspension expires.
