WKF Vice President Bechir Cherif confirmed as Honorary President of Tunisia Karate Federation

WKF 3rd Vice President and WKF Executive Committee member Bechir Cherif has been confirmed as Honorary President of the Tunisia Karate Federation.

Born in Gafsa (Tunisia), Bechir Cherif acted as President of the Tunisia Karate Federation from 1999 to 2011. After his last tenure leading the national organization, the 8th-Dan Black Belt was declared Honorary President of the federation, a position which has been reinforced following the decision revealed Wednesday.

Former national coach of the Tunisia Karate Team for over six years, Bechir Cherif has acted as Vice President of the World Karate Federation since 1998. He is also 1st Vice President of the African Karate Federation (UFAK) and head of the Mediterranean Karate Federation.

The Executive Bureau of the federation also confirmed the composition of the governing body of the organization following the decision of the general assembly which took place on August 30. The Executive Bureau is headed by President Hassen Korbi and it has a total of 12 members.
