Xande Ribeiro Vs. Gabriel Almeida To Headline Fight 2 Win 145

Jiu-jitsu legend Alexandre “Xande” Ribeiro is signed up to make his Fight 2 Win debut, and we only need to wait ten days to see it.

Ribeiro will be making his promotional debut with a bang, stepping up to be in the main event opposite number-five-ranked Gabriel Almeida.

Ribeiro hasn’t competed since 2018, but he doesn’t exactly need to prove himself anymore. The multiple-time world champion has also earned gold twice at ADCC and has wins against some of the best jiu-jitsu competitors of our time, including Romulo Barral, Leandro Lo, Andre Galvao, and Bernardo Faria. His return to competition is going to get all the love it deserves on a stage with the lights, sound, and action of F2W.

Almeida is part of a newer generation of jiu-jitsu athletes, though, and we’ll see if he can outwork the experienced Ribeiro in the main event. He’s competed multiple times for F2W, his most recent match ending in a victory at F2W 140 against Roberto Jimenez. Almeida also qualified for ADCC last year, though he was stopped by Josh Hinger in the first round.

Ribeiro’s mere presence in this match will make this a must-see event, and the fact that a competitor of Almeida’s caliber is his opponent makes this Fight 2 Win all the more exciting.

F2W 145 will take place on June 26 in Dallas, TX and can be streamed live on FloGrappling.
