Taekwondo Canada has announced this last week the hiring of David Harris as the new Executive Director.
Harris possesses a master’s degree in Kinesiology (Sport Management) from the University of Western Ontario as well as a B.Sc. in Business Administration (Marketing) from Lake Superior State University and a diploma in Sports Administration from Durham College.
Harris comes to the organization after serving seven years as the Executive Director of the Oakville Soccer Club, the largest amateur soccer club in North America and the largest amateur sports club in Canada. He also serves as a member of Ontario Soccer’s Marketing Advisory Committee.
Prior to joining the Oakville Soccer Club, Harris was the National Sales & Marketing Manager for The Messier Project/Bauer Performance Group, Marketing Manager with Ontario Lottery and Gaming, Director of Marketing with the John Labatt Centre as well as the Director of Operations with the Mississauga IceDogs of the Ontario Hockey League.
