A lot of persistence and determination were written all over the faces of the participants in the second karate kyokushin training on the fourth day of the 15th annual KWU International Summer Camp.
The participants were separated into nine groups according to their rank and age.
Bulgaria’s Shihan Ivo Kamenov attended one of the groups with the best pro fighters in it. The executive director of the KWU International Professional League and Chairman of the National combat sports association in Bulgaria (NABS).
The group was lead by Russia’s multiple karate kyokushin champion Sergey Uvitski and Shihan Alexandr Pichkunov – KWU General Secretary and main referee of SENSHI fight nights. Both of them are representing Russia’s Perm kyokushin school.
Shihan Kamenov was highly involved in the session, giving valuable tips and lessons to the fighters around him. He pointed out the importance of the good guard and the proper kyokushin stance.
“You must work on your guard”, Kamenov explained.
“You must be able to control the fight on the outside and on the inside. And if you want power, you have to control your body.”
“Always think about your next move”, Kamenov added.
The session was heavy from a technical point of view, with a lot of complex drills and exercises.
