The 2019 World Judo Championships for cadet took place last week in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
460 boys and girls from 61 countries participated in the event that was organized by the International Judo Federation. A total of 16 gold medals (8 among men and 8 among women) were awarded to the winners.
The host country of Kazakhstan won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 4 bronze medals. As we expected, Japan finished with 4 gold medals (the most of any country), adding 3 silvers and 4 bronzes.
