The Bellator bantamweight title finally has a new holder – Juan Archuleta.

In a stirring battle, Archuleta (25-2 MMA, 7-1 BMMA) defeated Patchy Mix by unanimous decision (49-46, 48-47, 48-47) in the main event of Bellator 246 at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Largely a high-action striking affair through five rounds, the fight’s opening five minutes took place mostly on the ground.
