Bo Nickal: 6 Months Of BJJ Is Enough To Beat Gordon Ryan (VIDEO)

2019 world freestyle wrestling U23 champion Bo Nickal believes he can beat BJJ master Gordon Ryan with only six months of training jiu-jitsu.

Ryan is probably the best no-gi grappler in the world right now, but according to his fellow American, he almost beat him when they first met at Third Coast Grappling 3 in a match contested under a hybrid ruleset that attempted to level the playing field between the 3 x NCAA Wrestling Champion and the BJJ Black Belt with three ADCC Gold Medals.

“King Ryan” got the W back then, as he congratulated his adversary for stepping out of his comfort zone.

Bo Nickal was recently interviewed and asked about how it was grappling Gordon Ryan.

Nickal was obviously not happy with himself for having lost the match but thinks he did well considering the circumstances:

“I trained Jiu-Jitsu twice and was able to go 13 minutes with the world champion. If I trained Jiu-Jitsu for 6 months, I would beat him.”
