Boxing’s future hall of famer and one of the biggest stars in today’s game – Saul Alvarez, has signed a two-fight deal with DAZN and Matchroom Boxing.
The undisputed super middleweight champion will fight unbeaten WBA light heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol on May 7 and then, if the favored fighter beats Bivol, he will finally face rival Gennadiy Golovkin a third time on September 17.
Meanwhile Golovkin, who will fight Japan’s Ryota Murata in a middleweight unification fight on an undetermined date, has to come out victorious also, if a trilogy fight will be made.
Canelo returns to DAZN after he signed the biggest deal in boxing history with the company back in 2018. He was supposed to get $360 millions for 10 fights, but the deal with the streaming service fell off de to lack of good opposition.
Alvarez could earn as much as $100 million altogether from those two fights with Russia’s Bivol and Kazakhstan’s Golovkin. As of this moment, Las Vegas is dubbed as the frontrunner host of both fights.
