Former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez (30-7) won his second fight under the ONE FC banner.
The American defeated Eduard Folayang (21-8) in the ONE Lightweight Grand Prix semi-final and advances to the final. The 35-year-old won via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) in the opening round and now his ONE FC record is 1-1.
Folayang was the aggressor, in the beginning, landing some nice leg kicks which forced Alvarez down, but “The Underground King” managed to get the better of Folayang on the ground and soon enough he was on top showcasing some nice jiu-jitsu skills.

Eddie will be facing Saygid Guseyn Arslanaliev in the Grand Prix finals, expected to take place in Tokyo, Japan on October 13 at ONE’s 100th show. A win would certainly provide him an opportunity to face Lightweight Champion, Christian Lee.
