Francis Ngannou opens as betting favorite in prospective matchups with Jon Jones

Betting site BetOnline.ag released odds for prospective matchups pitting Ngannou against Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier, respectively, and “The Predator” is slightly favored against both men.

Ngannou has been on an absolute tear through the heavyweight division since disappointing outings against Stipe Miocic and Derrick Lewis. In his previous four appearances, Ngannou picked up first-round knockouts with an average fight time of just over 40 seconds. At UFC 249, he put away unbeaten contender Jairzinho Rozenstruik in 20 seconds.

A feud has developed between Ngannou and Jones, with “Bones” doubling down on rumors of a potential bout after Ngannou questioned how serious Jones was about an oft-discussed move up to the heavyweight division. According to BetOnline.ag, Ngannou would be a slight favorite at -150 should that fight be booked.

Against Cormier, he is a -140 favorite. Both odds projections show enormous respect for Ngannou, considering both Jones and Cormier have won multiple UFC titles.

Cormier has said if a trilogy bout with Miocic does not materialize, he expects some sort of title fight to be arranged with Ngannou.
