Helenius ran away from Pulev

Robert Helenius (28-2-0), who had to face the IBF heavyweight mandatory challenger – Kubrat Pulev (26-1-0) surprisingly pulled out of the fight.

“The Cobra” and “The Nordic Nightmare” were supposed to square up in Inglewood, California on 23rd of March.

Initially, Helenius and his team agreed on the fight, but they didn’t want to do a rematch with the Bulgarian. Soon after that, they refused the fight and the searching for Kubrat’s next opponent is still going on.

The Bulgarian is currently in training camp in his home country. His brother, Tervel Pulev, is expected to be on the same undercard.
