Japan unveils its Judo Olympic team

The Japan Judo federation announced today most of its Olympic team for this year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo.

Until yesterday, only one name was known for sure (Sone Akira in +78kg) and after today only one spot remains uncertain.

Based on the international results obtained to date, a total of 13 men and women, including Ono Shohei and Abe Uta, have now been formalized by the Japanese selection committee and will, therefore, represent Japan.
