A purse bid has been ordered by the International Boxing Federation for the upcoming IBF heavyweight title fight between Anthony Joshua and Kubrat Pulev.
The initial deadline given to the two camps was until the end of January. Then IBF agreed to give them an extra two weeks because there was still no deal on February 1.
The unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua is expected to face his mandatory Kubrat Pulev this summer in London, but there are numerous rumors that Eddie Hearn is pushing for a unification fight with the nex WBC champ Tyson Fury.
Anyway, the purse bid was scheduled for March 3 in Springfield, USA. There is still a chance that both sides will reach an agreement and that purse bid won’t be needed, but only time will tell.
