This past Saturday night in Atlanta Kelvin Gastelum (15-4) squared up with Israel Adesanya (17-0) for the interim middleweight title in UFC 236 co-main event. The fight was nothing short of spectacular and it went down to the judges scores after a great 25 minutes of nonstop action.
In the end, the interim belt was wrapped around Adesanya’s waist, even though the 27-year-old American dropped “The Last Stylebender” in the first round with some heavy shots.
After the fight Gastelum took it to Twitter to thank all of his fans:
Can’t thank everyone enough for the love and support in the last 24 hrs! Gonna get my body and face healed up! I’ll only get better from this! God bless everyone. Mission 4 Gold continues!!

Later, Gastelum gave props to the winner and stated that he believes that “their paths will cross again”.
