Manny Pacquiao-Keith Thurman stats

Manny Pacquiao (62-7-2) defeated yesterday Keith Thurman (29-0) in their WBA welterweight unification bout in MGM Grand. “Pac Man” delivered on his promise to give Thurman his first pro loss and became the oldest welterweight champion in the history of boxing.

At the age of 40, the Filipino boxer outboxed the 29-years-old Thurman in every aspect of the fight, landing 195 of 686 punches throughout the whole fight.

Manny landed 82 of 346 jabs in comparison to 18 of 128 for Thurman. “One Time” landed a total of 210 punches and way more power punches (192 of 443 compared to 113 of 340), but the American was more often than not unable to finish his combinations. Pacquiao was moving like a 20-years-old, throwing from all kind of angles and mixing his body and headshot, making Thurman look really bad.
