Paige VanZant signs deal with Bare Knuckle FC

Former UFC flyweight Paige VanZant has signed a multi-fight deal with the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships, per ESPN.

The 26-year-old American contract with UFC didn’t get renewed and she was a free agent for the last couple of weeks.

Bellator MMA was interested in signing the beauty queen to its roster, but obviously negotiation fell off.

VanZant announced the news by herself, posting a picture with a signed contract.

VanZant’s last fight was in July at UFC 251. She lost to Amanda Ribas via first-round submission. It was her first fight in 18 months following a victory over Rachael Ostovich at UFC Fight Night in January 2019.

She’s dealt with injuries over the years, including a broken right arm in January 2018 during a loss by decision to Jessica-Rose Clark.
