UFC Vegas 17 medical suspensions

A total of 10 fighters who participated at UFC’s last sow for the year could be sidelined for half a year.

UFC Vegas 17 took place this past weekend and it produced 12 fights, which means approximately half of the fighters are in danger of missing the first half of 2021.

Stephen Thompson himself, the man who got the W in the main event of the night, will have to be cleared by an orthopedist and have an MRI on his right knee and thigh and an X-Ray of his right hand, too.

Stephen Thompson: Must have MRI of right knee and thigh, and X-ray of right hand, if positive must be cleared by orthopedic doctor or no contest until June 18; minimum suspension no contest until Feb. 18, no contact until Feb. 3

Geoff Neal: Suspended until Feb. 3, no contact until Jan. 19 (right eyebrow laceration)

Jose Aldo: Suspended until Jan. 10, no contact until Jan. 3

Marlon Vera: Must have MRI of left wrist, and X-ray of left hand and wrist, if positive must be cleared by orthopedic doctor or no contest until June 18; minimum suspension no contest until Jan. 19, no contact until Jan. 10

Michel Pereira: Suspended until Jan. 3, no contact until Dec. 27

Khaos Williams: Suspended until Jan. 19, no contact until Jan. 10 (right cheek laceration)

Rob Font: Suspended until Jan. 10, no contact until Jan. 3

Marlon Moraes: Suspended until Feb. 3, no contact until Jan. 19

Marcin Tybura: Suspended until Jan. 19, no contact until Jan. 10 (nose laceration)

Greg Hardy: Suspended until Feb. 3, no contact until Jan. 19

Anthony Pettis: Must have X-ray of nose, if positive must be cleared by ENT doctor; also requires X-ray of right foot, if positive must be cleared by orthopedic doctor or no contest until June 18; minimum suspension no contest until Jan. 19, no contact until Jan. 10

Alex Morono: Suspended until Jan. 19, no contact until Jan. 10

Pannie Kianzad: Must have X-ray and MRI of left hand and thumb, if positive must be cleared by orthopedic doctor or no contest until June 18; minimum suspension no contest until Jan. 19, no contact until Jan. 10

Sijara Eubanks: Suspended until Jan. 10, no contact until Jan. 3

Deron Winn: Must have MRI or X-ray left knee, if positive must be cleared by orthopedic doctor or no contest until June 18; minimum suspension no contest until Jan. 10, no contact until Jan. 3

Antonio Arroyo: Suspended until Jan. 10, no contact until Jan. 3

Taila Santos: Must have MRI of right elbow, if positive must be cleared by orthopedic doctor or no contest until June 18; minimum suspension no contest until Jan. 19, no contact until Jan. 10

Gillian Robertson: Suspended until Feb. 3, no contact until Jan. 19 (nose laceration)

Tafon Nchukwi: Must have MRI or X-ray of right knee and left shoulder, if positive must be cleared by orthopedic doctor or no contest until June 18; minimum suspension no contest until Feb. 3, no contact until Jan. 19

Jamie Pickett: Suspended until Feb. 3, no contact until Jan. 19

Jimmy Flick: Must have X-ray of right foot, if positive must be cleared by orthopedic doctor or no contest until June 18; minimum suspension no contest until Jan. 19, no contact until Jan. 10

Cody Durden: Must have MRI of right knee, if positive must be cleared by orthopedic doctor or no contest until June 18; minimum suspension no contest until Jan. 19, no contact until Jan. 10

Christos Giagos: Requires clearance from ophthalmologist for left eye corneal abrasion or no contest until June 18
