UFC Vegas 6 bonuses: No ‘Fight of the Night,’ but 4 pick up performance checks

There was no “Fight of the Night” at UFC Vegas 6, but four fighters still picked up extra $50,000 checks for “Performance of the Night.”

Kevin Holland, Andrew Sanchez, Darren Stewart and Gavin Tucker all got extra pay for finishes in their respective fights on Saturday at UFC APEX in Las Vegas. The UFC announced the bonuses after the ESPN+ event.

Holland and Sanchez finished their respective opponents in similar fashion, landing straight rights for the knockout. Holland twice felled UFC newcomer Joaquin Buckley with the punch, earning a stoppage the second time in the second round; Sanchez laid out Wellington Turman with a one-two late in the first.

Known as a knockout artist, Stewart showed off his ground skills with a first-round submission of Maki Pitolo, and Tucker went back and forth with Justin Jaynes in a bout that looked like the strongest contender for “Fight of the Night” before Tucker cinched a third-round submission.
