More tickets were given away than sold for Fury – Wallin

Tyson Fury’s bout with Otto Wallin hit a curious low in terms of selling tickets.

According to BoxingScene, the event sold 3577 tickets at the box office, with the fight making $999 722.50. Out of a 20,000-capacity arena, there were 3898 tickets given away through competitions or given to patrons of the event. During that fight Fury received a serious injury which required some 40 stitches on his right eyebrow. Because of that injury “The Gypsy King’s” next rumored fight – the rematch against Deontay Wilder in February, could be in jeopardy.
