The Dutch-Turkish fighter has formerly competed in the SUPERKOMBAT and ENFUSION. He also won the WFL eight-man tournament in September 2018, defeating Fabio Kwasi, Sam Tevette, and Nordine Mahieddine-all by decision.
“Butcher” competed in the four-man heavyweight tournament at Mix Fight Championship 27 last December in Frankfurt. He lost to Britain’s James McSweeney via second-round doctor’s stoppage because of a cut.
He rebounded with a points win over Belgium’s Mohamed El Bouchaibi at the Enfusion gala in Eindhoven, the Netherlands in February. Aygun had been scheduled to challenge Enfusion Heavyweight Champion Levi Rigters for the title but Rigters withdrew from the bout after a dispute with the co-promoter.
