Rhalan Gracie signs with Bellator, debut set for May

Bellator 242 is still scheduled to go down May 9 in San Jose, Calif., and the company has booked seven preliminary bouts for the card.

The list of 14 fighters includes Rhalan Gracie, son of Brazilian jiu-jitsu legend Relson Gracie and grandson of master Helio Gracie. The welterweight grappler makes his MMA debut against Dominic Sumner, who holds a 1-3 overall record in the sport.

Bellator 242 will be headlined by two title fights, seeing Ryan Bader defend his light heavyweight crown against Vadim Nemkov and Gegard Mousasi battle welterweight king Douglas Lima for the vacant middleweight belt.
