SENSHI 4 – Press Conference quotes

The official press conference for the fourth edition of SENSHI was held yesterday in Varna.

All the fighters that took part in the event promised one thing – unpredictable and hard-fought bouts. SENSHI 4 is taking place tonight at Varna’s Palace of Culture and Sports. Fight fans will be able to enjoy 12 fights (5 full contact karate, 4 fights conducted under the SENSHI rules and 3 bouts under the K-1 rules). The show is scheduled to begin at 7 pm (GMT+ 3).

Some of the fighters grab the mics at the press conference, as the kickboxing legend Peter Arts was also present at the event.

“I’m glad that I’m in Bulgaria again. that’s my fourth time coming here. You’ll witness some top-notch contests, I’m sure. The competitive spirit of the guys is super high”, the Dutch legend said.

The skipper of Bulgaria’s kickboxing national team – Atanas Bozhilov, was one of the competitors that will fight tonight. He’ll be facing Belarus’s Pavel Pravashynski.

“All of my previous wins at SENSHI came via decision. I can’t tell for sure what’s gonna happen this time. My game plan is on point. I hope I can finish him inside three rounds, but I’m also ready to go the full distance”, the two-time world kickboxing proffesional champion said.

The record holder for the fastest KO in SENSHI history – Nikolay Yorgov, was also present for the media.

“My nose was broken, but now I’m 100% ready. Still, can’t tell if there’s gonna be a knock out or not. I’ve made some adjustments with my coach and the hard work is done”, the 28-year-old.

Yorgov’s adversary – Jo Miyahara, also took the time to answer some questions prior to his SENSHI debut.

“I know this is my debut, but I had an excellent training camp. I promise you that I’ll do my best to get the W”, the Japanese karateka concluded.
